About Smudging

Cleansing with smoke (or known as "smudging") is a quick and easy way to cleanse your crystals, space or your own energy field. This “sacred smoke” will draw out any stagnant energy or unharmonious vibrations from around you and allow new energy to flow in. Burning sage is a great way to begin a ritual or meditation as it promotes a relaxing meditative state.

How to Smudge:

If you are smudging indoors make sure you have a window open. This is to allow the smoke to disperse and carry the old energy outside. You will need a lighter or matches, a fireside bowl to catch any embers that fall.

• Light the sage bundle until lit, blow out the flames.
• Move your the sage wand through your space making sure to cover dark corners and hidden spots.
• To cleanse your crystals pick them up and move them through the smoke for as long as you want. Envision the smoke drawing out unwanted energy from the stone and enjoy the relaxing scent.
• For larger, harder to pick up crystals you can simply move the wand over them or use a feather / fan to waft the smoke over them. 
• You can use an affirmation if you like such as "I cleanse this space from negativity, I cleanse these crystals back to their original vibrations"
• When finished snuff out in some dry rice or sand. Do not use water.
